As with all inventory financing, collateral value is important and requires you to determine the collateral value at the time the inventory is placed on the books, to continuously inspect the collateral to determine its condition, and to impose a curtailment requirement sufficient to keep collateral values in line with loan balances. All of these risks are managed by using floor planning.
