Greenberg Traurig Expands Public Finance Tax Team with Solomon Cadle

WASHINGTON, July 29, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Washington, D.C.office continues to expand with the addition of Solomon Cadle as a shareholder in the Public Finance and Infrastructure and v Tax practices. He joins the firm from McKennon Shelton & Henn LLP.

Cadle focuses his practice on federal tax law and regulations involving public finance, regularly serving as bond counsel in 501(c)(3) tax-exempt financings and both tax-exempt and tax advantaged municipal financings. Cadle guides issuers, underwriters, and borrowers through the tax advantaged financing process; balancing the requirements of the federal tax law with their specific needs and goals.

Greenberg Traurig has broad experience in tax matters related to Section 103 and related sections of the Internal Revenue Code, including the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), the Treasury regulations, and related rulings. The firm's tax attorneys also have wide-ranging understanding of federal, state, and local tax controversy work as well as the tax aspects of corporate, real estate and partnership transactions, and planning for charitable foundations.

Cadle's wide-ranging experience includes advising issuers and borrowers in their post-issuance tax compliance matters. He also handles matters ancillary to tax-exempt financings including IRS filings, allocations, contract revisions, remediation, and exercising an issuer's right to enter into a Voluntary Closing Agreement Program (VCAP) with the IRS.
