Lincoln, Nebraska:Lincoln, NE – July 31, 2009 - Automated Systems, Inc. announces an updated iTeller version which includes support for optional virtual endorsements.

With the rapid adoption of Check21 electronic cash letters, the passing of physical items between banks, and the Federal Reserve is becoming increasingly less common. For this reason, an enhancement was made in Insite iTeller to add electronic or virtual endorsements that place the bank of first deposit information directly onto the image instead of printing it on the physical item.

The main benefits of virtual endorsements are having a clear, legible endorsement that doesn’t appear smeared, smudged, or faded like physical endorsements, saving money by reducing the time and cost of equipment maintenance, and reducing the cost of ink replacement.

Because iTeller seamlessly integrates with the core Insite Banking System, tellers can easily view customer balances and histories in checking and savings accounts, CDs, and loans. This enables tellers to better answer customer inquiries in less time. Transactions made at the teller window are instantly available in Insite at all branches, as well as in all online ancillary products, including Online Banking, the ATM module, and Telephone Banking.
